Plan

18x9 (to accommodate two entrances).

8 columns down centre and 3 at entrance.

Pronaos tristyle in antis.

No opisthodomos – closed adyton.

Cuboid raised on stylobate.

3 stepped stereobate.

Elevation

Doric.

Capitals display elements of Ionic decoration but maintain Doric appearance with pronounced entasis.

Decoration

Seven different styles on echinus of columns.

Undecorated or painted metopes.

Unusual Features

Only naos in Italy to be divided in 2. Possibly for double dedication?

All columns are same height – usually internal would be smaller than external.

Antae are unusual – have capitals (possibly an early Ionic prototype).
